On today’s Writing Community Spotlight, I’m aiming the beam at Taralynn Moore… AND running a GIVEAWAY of her books for some lucky readers!
Taralynn’s another author I was able to finally meet in person at a writer’s conference. Since that event in 2018, she self-published her first full-length novel, King Unveiled, and a holiday novella. She’s getting ready to publish the second book in her Young Adult Sci-Fi/Fantasy Romance series – King Abdication – in July 2020.
One of the mantras in our writer’s group is Self Care – as in, are you doing any? Self care is something we’ve chatted and strategized about a lot over the years and we all help – okay, nag – each other to practice what we preach.
Like most writers I know, Tara’s got other things going on in her life. She runs a beauty industry-based business, raises 3 kids, runs a household, and writes. I’m so proud of Tara for taking the time she needs to prioritize. Once you dip your toes into the world of writing and publishing, pressure can come at you from so many directions. Staying true to our own, individual courses is so important. Having friends who help you remember that is priceless.
