I had an idea for an object I wanted to feature on the cover of my next book.
MAGIC RECLAIMED is the second Calliope Jones novels and in both books one and two, a leather pouch plays an important role. Scrolling through Etsy one day (as one does) I came across the work of Lisa Marshall.
She was able to take my sketch and create Tanner Marechal’s pouch, the one he guards with his life. And now I can’t wait for it to get here from Ontario! Which, given the rolling strikes happening with rural mail carriers, could take a while.
As soon as I have the pouch, I’ll go find a Tanner lookalike and see if I can get him to model for me <insert grin>. Also, this is a teeny-tiny picture.
